About the Department

The Department of Agada Tantra & Vyavahara Ayurveda deals with the science of toxicology and medico-legal aspects of medical practice as described in Ayurveda.

Agada Tantra focuses on the identification, management, and prevention of poisoning, including animal, plant, mineral, and artificial poisons, while Vyavahara Ayurveda addresses medical ethics, legal responsibilities, and jurisprudence related to healthcare practice.

The department trains students to handle emergency conditions, poisoning cases, and medico-legal situations with professional competence, ethical awareness, and legal responsibility. Classical Ayurvedic toxicology is integrated with modern medico-legal knowledge to ensure comprehensive understanding.
